This Coconut Thing is Getting to be a Habit

This is Colatino Young Coconut Juice with Pulp, found at the local panaderia (bakery). The company bills this as a natural sports drink.

I guess you want to know how it tastes. Natural and coconutty. Could use some rum and a little paper umbrella.

Pardon my ignorance. I really find this drink a little offsetting. Strange looking blobs suspended in a bottle. Don't think I'll try it over the real thing.

Ha! I find it wild; glad you're the taste-tester. Where is this grocery you frequent??

It kind of reminds me of those Asian bubble teas with the tapioca balls floating in it. I can't imagine why someone wouldn't like stuff floating in their drink ; )

tut-tut: This is the Mexican bakery on Brainard near Carniceria Loa. They have some really cheap freshly made bakery (apparently no issues with flour prices yet) but the guy does not speak English.

I believe this is one drink we can produce over here where I come from. Coconut is one of our largest agricultural products. We turn and export them as copra, and into so many different by-products like cooking oil, virgin coconut oil, etc.

There were so many who tried coconut juice manufacturing, but I think, unccessful. I understand there were even unscrupulous individuals who tried to sell it in plastic cups but used chemical based sugar which was really bad to start with :-(

Arrgghhh.

I hope what you have there is better than what we experienced over here.

Cheers!
